On November 22, there was an excursion to Opillia to the village of Chesnyki and the city of Rohatyn for students of OP 032 “Ethnology” OP “Master’s” and OP 032 History and archeology OP “Bachelor” of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations of Vasyl Stefanyk Prykarpattia National University under the leadership of Associate Professor Petro Kostyuchok of the Department of Ethnology and Archeology and Associate Professor of the Department of World History Lilia Shcherbin with the aim of studying the ethnographic diversity of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region and the ethno-cultural heritage of the region.
The students of education visited Chesnyky, where they got acquainted with the history of the village, its temples, local production of Opil oil by the family of Roksolana Rosolovska.
We visited the Rohatyn historical and local history museum “Opillya”, where we learned about interesting historical pages of the region.
They also visited the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, where they got acquainted with the history of the sacred construction of the region.
